I was on my way to my office when I heard the devastating news about the Beastie Boys’ MCA passing away from his battle with cancer. I went immediately back to my youth where my friends and I would be sitting in the parking lot of our local Denny’s, drinking beers underage, jamming Licensed to Ill and singing along to Paul Revere. Illustrator and poster artist, Brian Ewing said it best in his tribute tweet.
“This bums me out. Feels like part of my youth just died.”
