Why Don’t My Sketchbooks Turn Out Like This?

While cruising around Doodler’s Anonymous, it becomes painfully clear that my sketchbook time is seriously lacking compared to some artists. I always keep some sort of notebook handy, but its usually reserved for notes and less often, sketches. When the pen does hit the paper in a creative fashion, it never, ever turns out as cool as any of these fine artists below. Perhaps I just need more seat-time with a Rapidograph and Moleskine.
