To say that the work of Morgan of I Wish I Had Penguin Friend is a bit quirky is probably the most understate thing I’ve said since starting this site. I met Morgan at Renegade and my first reaction was, “This girl should meet Monsterkat“. Turns out, they know each other well—go figure.
I dig the illustrative nature of Morgan’s work, and the subject matter cracks me up. I doubt I’ll be hanging up any pictures of balding men with birthday poodles anytime soon, but I appreciate the humor in them.

great images. Love the originality and quality of Morgan’s work. Good technique. I own a few pieces and intend to acquire more.
She’s a find, for sure, Ed.
I do have some of her quirky work on walls, greeting cards, coasters. They’re awesome!
Good deal, Maggie. Thanks for swinging by to say hi, and for supporting Morgan.
Morgan rules!!!!!!! no doubt about it. Morgan you should come down and hang out in OB to get some more materials. It’s chiller than Venice and almost as funkadelic. Hope you are livin it up in la-la land!!!!
I have some of Morgan’s greeting cards, comics and pictures. I love her “Boy with Olives” picture because it is what we did when we were little. She is funny and creative.
I have a photo on my desk right now of my nephew recreating the same idea, except with raspberries. Playing with food transcends generations.
