One of the artists I didn’t get to speak to for very long at Renegade was Lela Shields, but her work is pretty remarkable. It’s not for everyone; a mass of abstract shapes and animal parts, each one has a sort of macabre sense of what the animal kingdom is about. What can I say, I dig it. My wife would hate it though and I’d probably never get these prints up on the wall. So you should go buy some from Lela and put it up on your walls for me.
