This is episode 20, and that means the end of another killer season of the Fresh Rag Show. I’m so happy with how this season ended up, despite all the potential guests who flaked out on us. It was a seemingly rare circumstance of 10 scheduled interviews and not one of them being a male individual. That might say something about me, but more likely, something about the people who gravitate toward this show.

With a demographic of mostly women, it’s not ridiculous to imagine an entire season of females, and I’m sure it helps a majority of you to see that there are a lot of prominent ladies in the world making serious headway in the creative fields. Gender really doesn’t matter that much in the scope of creativity, but being raised by a single mom all my young life, I’m a bit more in tune with the idea that we need to celebrate the ladies in business a bit more. My mom wouldn’t have it any other way.

That said, I am going to get more guys on the show next season, but don’t worry, I won’t be going tit for tat, trying to get a full season of Y-chromosome holders. In fact, it’s already shaping up to be a good mix, so you’ll enjoy it, I’m sure.

As I started to wrap up this season of “Going Pro”, I was stuck for a theme for Season 3. Then, as I was hanging out with people at the Podcast Movement Conference last month, in a room filled with people who have influenced me over the years, it came to me that next season should be about Influence.

Everyone on the show next season comes on as either a direct influence on me, or someone that is making a bit influence with others in the creative world, and I guarantee, by the end of it all, you’ll be heavily influenced as well.

It’s been a crazy, up and down year. I’ve made several announcements and proclamations during that time, many of which didn’t come to fruition in a timely manner. Sometime in the spring, I mentioned that I was going to be phasing out my one-on-one coaching in lieu of group coaching.

It took me a long, long time to make that happen, but when I got hit with a proverbial smack down about my business recently, I decided it was time to make the leap.
