This past weekend was a scorcher in the LA Basin; what better time to take a stroll through a park and look at hundreds of local and travelling artisans in a group setting? This is my 2nd time attending the Renegade show, both times during the summer, and although it wasn’t nearly as busy as I expected it to be, I felt more at home at this show than most others. If you compare Renegade to the other LA shows (Unique, Abbot Kinney, Patchwork), a couple things become abundantly clear:
- There are a whole lot of jewelry designers in the greater Los Angeles area
- This is the show for print artists.
You can find just about any design you can think of when it comes to jewelry at this show, and you definitely can find a whole lot more art prints than all of the other shows combined. I met so many new poster artists, it’s going to be awhile before I finish showcasing them all here. That’s good news for you, and hopefully they feel the same.
Here’s a few shots of the event and some links down below to dig a little deeper.
(FYI – I somehow adjusted my white balance in the camera without knowing it and all my shots came out blueish. Sorry for the suckage.)

Ya know, there are so many awesome print artists out there, But I want to see some cool frames to put them in!
Maybe I should provide that. Hmmm……
Sounds like you found a niche. Are you talking vintage stuff? If you find an 18×24 that would look good with my Death Cab for Cutie Poppies print, I’m all over it.
Thanks for including me in your Renegade Recap!
You’re welcome Nate. You were busy with customers, so I didn’t want to get in your way. Hopefully I’ll see you at a future event.
