Right off the bat, I’m going to tell you that this interview is one of top 3 shows so far, if not my most favorite. I’m also going to tell you that it’s longer than most of our shows, and Mark Brickey of the Adventures in Design podcast is audacious, authentic, crass, funny, insightful, smart, and real.
His show that he shares with his friend and partner, Billy Baumann, is definitely the best podcast about design out there, not only because they bring good quality information about the topic, but because they come from a place of fun authenticity. They cuss a lot, talk about insane subjects, pick on people who might be too big for their britches, but they always bring it back around to what is important—good, quality conversations about design.
I’m not going to kid you, Brickey is not like any other guest I’ve had on the show, and that’s a good thing. I like shaking shit up once in awhile, and this will definitely do that. It will also fill you with so much good information, you’ll be bleeding design wisdom out your eyeballs.
This episode is long, almost cracking the 1:15 minute mark, but there’s a damn good reason for that and I promise you that you will want to stick through the whole thing because a lot of the gold comes at the end of the conversation. I don’t say that to taunt you. It’s just how the whole convo worked out, but you will thank me later if you stick it out.
That said, there is no Prerollin’, no Homeworkin’, no Tool Tippin’; just good old fashion conversation. I hope you enjoy.
