I’m always attracted to any kind of Dia De Los Muertos imagery, probably because it’s falls on my birthday every year (November 2nd, if you’re taking notes and want to send gifts). As the iconography gains in popularity, there are increasing numbers of unique derivative interpretations of the art. I’m not sure if Minjae Lee truly wanted her figures to be defined as La Muerta style but they definitely seem to take influence from it. Check out more on his website.
