In my first video since the start of 2013, I decided to talk about something I talked about on Facebook; something that happened to me yesterday while waiting for lunch and how it relates to all of us creative types.
It seems a shame how many people walk through their lives with little to no motivation to achieve anything greater than a 9-5 job just to pay the bills, like drones on autopilot, but if you saw what I saw yesterday, you would have witnessed first hand how many people look miserable in their daily lives. I’m fortunate because I will never feel that way again.
I love my day job, and I really love what I do here on Fresh Rag. Between that and my awesome family, I can’t ever complain about my situation. Yes, I’d like to improve all of it when I can, but I think I’m doing pretty well, and I hope to bring that kind of vibe to everyone who checks out Fresh Rag.
So my question to you is, are you fulfilled? Are you moving through life on autopilot, or are you looking for ways to improve? I want to talk about these kinds of things more. Even though part of my goal is to help people improve their art and design business with more attention, better marketing and more sales, what is really important is improving the quality of our lives.
SIDE NOTE: If I can pat myself on the back a little, have a look at any of my other videos before this one and you’ll see one of the other journeys I’m on. To date, I’ve lost nearly 50 lbs., and I can’t believe how much it shows. I might occasionally bring this topic up on here, but only as a source of inspiration, not as a main subject. I’m happy to inspire in this way as well; healthy feels good people. If you want to know more about how lost the fat, feel free to hit me up.
