I love that Kim Turner tells you flat out that she gets a lot of her collage imagery from the catalogs of famous retail outlets. It’s almost a blatant Eff You to the companies that they can’t keep producing marginal quality stuff for the lowest common denominator and get away with it. Kim will take your catalog, cut it up and make art where complete lack of art used to be. How ironic would if Anthopologie called her up soon and said they’d like to sell her work in their shops?
