Today is a momentous episode. Not only is this the 1-year anniversary of the show, but it’s also the one where I conned my friend Jeanette to come over and do a recording. Little did she know that I would be wrangling her for over an hour while we experimented with my first ever two-mic setup.
The sound quality on this one is a bit different because I’m still working out the kinks on how to make this in-studio setup work, but the content is solid, and Jeanette puts the FU in fun and functional [tweet it], so stay tuned. Oh, and yes, we use a lot of big kid language in this one, so if you have little ones around, you might want to wait and listen until they’re in bed or not in the vicinity.
A little background on Jeanette—her and I met through Twitter years ago and we’ve been good friends ever since. Her sense of humor makes me giggle like a 12-year old boy, or guffaw like a lunatic, and we have many of the same points of view on business. We do have some differences though, including what makes a solid social media profile, but who am I to say what works and what doesn’t when her Etsy sales have skyrocketed, and that’s all without a conventional marketing approach. Who needs a blog when you’re an Etsy darling?
Mostly housekeeping, with lots of little announcements about where we are at, and where we are heading with this season finale episode.
