I can’t recall how I came across Antenne Books, but their shop is chock full of all kinds of independent publishing goodies. As they put it, they are a “distributor of independent art publishers [including] publications on art, photography, design, illustration, theory and writing to selected book shops throughout Europe”.
Ok, so not exactly super-convenient for folks in the U.S., but still, some great mags and publications to be had over at Antenne. They even started publishing some of their own, starting with Estate Of: a biannual series dedicated to featuring one artist in each issue. The first issue is Kronos by Victor Boullet. In all honesty, these art monographs aren’t my cup of tea, but I know how some people really dig them because they dig deeper than featuring multiple subjects in one magazine.
