I’m not sure what it is about watercolor art, but I tend to assume too often that the only art you see from watercolorists are landscapes and animals. It’s not often I see abstract or surrealism done in watercolor, and even less with as much interesting subject matter as Maja Ruznic’s work. The most interesting part, to me, is how her work has gone from simplistic, to elaborate and back again, almost as if she had to take the journey in order to find her way home again. I’m glad she did.
